About us

Ten years and counting, across Sydney

We have spent more than ten years installing air conditioning across Sydney, from single splits in inner-west terraces to fully zoned ducted systems in the south-west.

Every technician on the team is licensed and ARC qualified, so the refrigerant work, the electrical and the certification are all handled in house. No subcontractors turning up in an unmarked van.

How we work

Our process, start to finish

On-Site Sizing | Sydney Heating & Cooling

On-Site Sizing

We measure before we quote. Room volume, window area, orientation and insulation all change the capacity you need, so a system sized from floor area alone is a guess. Getting this right is the difference between a unit that holds temperature on the hottest day and one that runs flat out and never quite gets there.

Fixed Written Price | Sydney Heating & Cooling

Fixed Written Price

You get the system, the work and the price in writing before anything starts, and that figure does not move. We check switchboard capacity and access at quoting rather than discovering them mid-install, because that is where surprise costs come from on most jobs.

Clean Installation | Sydney Heating & Cooling

Clean Installation

Tidy pipe runs planned to keep external work out of sight, condensate drainage done properly so it never discharges against the wall, and every system tested before we leave. Your place is left the way we found it, with no offcuts in the garden, no dust through the house.

Aftercare & Warranty | Sydney Heating & Cooling

Aftercare & Warranty

We register the manufacturer warranty on your behalf and schedule the first service so your cover stays intact. If something needs attention afterwards you call us directly, not a call centre. The same team that installed it is the team that comes back.

Questions

Common questions

How much does ducted air conditioning cost in Sydney?

Ducted sits well above a single split because you are paying for the indoor unit, the duct runs, the zoning and the electrical work. What moves the number most is the number of zones, roof access and whether the switchboard needs upgrading. We size it on site and quote in writing, and that figure does not change once we start.

How long does a ducted installation take?

A single-storey home is usually one to two days. Two-storey homes, tight roof access, or replacing an existing system where the ductwork also needs changing can take longer.

How many zones do I need?

Most Sydney homes land on three to five. The useful split is usually living areas separate from bedrooms, since you rarely want both running at once. More zones give finer control but add cost, and past a point they add complexity without adding comfort.

Can ducted be installed if my roof space is tight?

Often yes, but it depends on pitch and access rather than floor area. Where the roof genuinely will not take it, split systems in the rooms that matter usually achieve the same comfort for less money, and we will tell you that rather than force a ducted sale.

Are there rebates available on a new system?

Efficient systems can qualify for discounts under the NSW Energy Savings Scheme. We handle the paperwork as part of the job rather than leaving you to chase it, and we will tell you what your system qualifies for when we quote.

Does ducted air conditioning add value to my home?

It is one of the few upgrades buyers actively look for in Sydney, particularly in the west and south-west where summers are hardest. Whole-home climate control reads as a finished house rather than a project.

What size split system do I need?

It depends on room volume, window area, orientation and insulation, not just floor size. An undersized unit runs flat out and never quite gets there. An oversized one short-cycles, dehumidifies poorly and leaves the room clammy. We measure rather than guess.

How much does split system installation cost?

A straightforward back-to-back install in a standard room is the cheapest option in air conditioning. Cost rises with capacity, longer pipe runs, upper-floor work and any electrical upgrade needed. You get the figure in writing before we start.

Can you install a split system in an apartment?

Usually, though it generally needs strata approval and there are often rules about where the outdoor unit can sit and how it is mounted. We can tell you what is likely to be approved before you go through the application, which saves a wasted round trip.

How long does a split system take to install?

A standard back-to-back install is about half a day. Longer pipe runs, upper floors or difficult access can take a full day.

Can one outdoor unit run several rooms?

Yes, that is a multi-head system, and it suits homes where ducted will not fit or is not worth the cost. It also solves the apartment problem of having nowhere to put three or four separate outdoor units.

My air conditioner is not cooling, what is wrong?

Most often a refrigerant leak, a dirty filter or coil restricting airflow, or a failed capacitor. Topping up refrigerant without finding the leak only delays the same fault, so we diagnose before quoting.

Why is water dripping from my indoor unit?

Usually a blocked condensate drain or a dirty coil causing the drain tray to overflow. Act on this one quickly. It is the fault that damages ceilings, and the repair costs far less than the plasterwork.

How often should air conditioning be serviced?

Annually for most homes, ideally before summer. Ducted systems and homes with pets or heavy dust benefit from every six months. Most manufacturers also require documented servicing for a warranty claim to hold.

Is it worth repairing an older system?

It depends on age, the specific fault, and whether it runs a phased-out refrigerant. Past roughly twelve years a major component failure often costs more than it returns, and we will say so rather than sell you a repair that buys six months.

Do you work on all brands?

Yes. Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, ActronAir, Panasonic, LG and Samsung, ducted and split. Being brand-independent means the recommendation fits the job rather than a supplier deal.
